Not every brand starts in a boardroom. Some begin in the middle of a tradeshow in Kansas City.
That’s how Morgan Mayer first encountered EmberBox, at the most recent NSCA Conference, where she was tagging along with her husband, a strength and conditioning coach in Major League Baseball. She wasn’t there to scout products. But when she saw EmberBox, she couldn’t help but get excited about the potential of a new brand.
So like any good producer, she saw an opportunity, and got to work.
The Building Blocks of Production
Morgan’s journey into production started at Elon University, where the culture prioritized agility, creative thinking, and hands-on experience. It was a perfect match for someone who’s never been afraid to roll up their sleeves. Now, Morgan is able to give back to the school that kickstarted her career by actively hiring Elon interns and recent-grads in almost every project she has a part in, including EmberBox.
Professionally, she carved out a reputation in NYC producing high-level experiential campaigns wedging herself in between the worlds of creative and business. She’s worked with a range of clients across industries, from boutique hotels and wellness brands to tech platforms like Hello Alfred and Bumble, and legacy names like Home Depot, TJMaxx, and United Airlines. Her portfolio spans everything from art installations on the High Line to pop culture spectacles at Comic-Con in San Diego, with budgets and impressions in the millions.
Her superpower? Getting the job done, and staying cool under pressure.
“As a producer, there’s no room for ego. You are both the most and least important person in the room at any given time. That mindset translates into startups more than anything else. There’s freedom in it, but also a lot of accountability.”
Building a Brand, Not Just a Product
As Head of Brand at EmberBox, Morgan is now helping shape more than a marketing strategy, she’s defining the look and feel of the entire brand ecosystem. From visual language to copy tone to user experience, her fingerprints are everywhere. But it’s not about making things “pretty.” For her, design is about meaning.
“I’ve spent years helping brands tell better stories, not louder ones. EmberBox isn’t just gear, it’s part of our users space, their identity, their rhythm, and their goal to train with intention in silent strength.”
What’s Next
Morgan now splits her time between New York City and Tampa Florida, balancing work life with a full one at home: a husband in pro baseball, a competition-level Cocker Spaniel, and house projects that are equal parts architecture and therapy. And somehow, EmberBox fits right into the mix: not as a side hustle, but as a passion project with purpose.
Morgan’s current focus? Bringing EmberBox’s voice to life across platforms, environments, and communities. Expect thoughtful storytelling, sharp visuals, and content that feels more like a design journal than a product push.
Because if you know Morgan, you know this: she doesn’t do things halfway.
